Outside The Box campaign

NAAASP CPD Webinar

As a mutual exchange and part of our mission to improve access to psychological therapies for our community, Viv presented a webinar to The National Autism & ADHD Service for their monthly CPD training.

The session focused on our journey as an organisation, our core offer and our mission to fill the gaps left in Adult ADHD services in the UK. The team expressed a real appreciation for our community-led model and have kindly agreed to offer a session in return talking about their services and psychological approaches to managing ADHD in May!

Trip to Tate

For our February social we went to visit Zanele Muholi's captivating and moving exhibition.

We could have been there for hours! Babes left feeling connected, inspired and educated on the rich journey of queer folk across the diaspora💖✨

Goal setting workshop

We held an online goal setting workshop all around setting goals for your future!

Art Workshop Series

During the last 2 months we held 2 art workshops: Embroidery doodle with Birungi and Mixed fabric and card with Zviki.

“I often feel nervous and anxious in a group setting. However I didn’t with this session, I felt calm, I unmasked, I felt present and could enjoy being around other babes and enjoy the creative session.”

Trip to National Theatre - Alterations

The babes took a trip to the much loved National Theatre to see ‘Alterations’ which illuminated the Guyanese experience of 1970s London and the aspirations and sacrifices of the Windrush generation.

In March our Directors Shauna & Viv joined Black Females Coding for an online panel and interactive session on neurodivergence and thriving in the workplace. We explored the unique challenges Black neurodivergent women face at work and discussed strategies to overcome barriers, build confidence, and thrive!

Emergency aid fund

We are excited to announce the relaunch of the emergency aid fund. Available to babes in the community experiencing financial hardship due to ADHD-related emergencies!

(Note: Eligibility includes active membership for at least 2 months!)

Community vote

Last month we launched the 'Community Vote' system, where members can decide as a collective on important decisions and questions that shape what we do! Through this process we agreed the 2 month eligibility guideline for our Emergency Fund.

Our aim is to continue sharing decision making power throughout our community and maintain collectivism at the heart of our work.

Mid-week body doubling

Funded by Comic Relief, we have launched a second body doubling session, especially aimed at those working from home, freelancers, creatives, aspiring business babes and more! We hope to continue to offer development support to babes aspiring to grow their financial and vocational skills throughout Summer!
